In summary, Best Management Practices combine monitoring, prevention, and control methods including cultural, physical, and biological controls, with chemical pesticides as a last resort.

Practices like exclusion, proper sanitation, education, and record-keeping help minimize environmental impact and reduce pest problems sustainably.

Monitoring is the key to successfully managing pests that invade your home, lawn, and landscape if you want to use less pesticides.

By coming out monthly, we’re able to catch and treat problems before you even notice them leaving you more time do things much more fun than watching the grass grow.

As a rule, we do our best to minimize the amount of pesticides applied to your property. Because weeds, insects, and fungus rarely effect an entire property all at once, blanket applications are almost never needed unless the property has been severely neglected.

By minimizing pesticide applications, chemical resistance in chinch bugs is minimized and beneficial insects are left unharmed to keep your landscape in natural balance.

Fertilizer on the other hand does need to be made as a blanket treatment to keep your lawn and shrubs looking their best. However, we use slow release products that activate over time to minimize runoff and leaching.

I cannot recommend Epic Horticultural enough. When I started service them weeds were starting to take over my yard. We discussed the plan of treatment and he explained that the weeds would get a little worse before they got better with the treatment. He was right. They started growing more but within a couple months they were completely gone. I now have one of the best looking lawns on my street. I find it more impressive to see the weeds growing in my neighbor's yards and they just stop at my property line.

Hands down the best experience with lawncare. For 23 years I’ve tried Scott’s, TrueGreen, Arrow and Four Seasons and I was never happy with the results. Usually the big guys sent a new kid and sprays a little bit of product and leaves a bill. Ask them any questions and they say “I’ll have my boss call “
Jon at Epic takes his time to listen to our concerns and offers solutions. He uses different types of products that are granular and liquid with great results! My lawn looks better than it ever has. I am so pleased. Lots of neighbors ask how my lawn is so green and lush. I just point to the Epic sign in my yard and tell them to call Jon. The sign stays up in my yard 365 days a year.
